Central Union Mission in Washington D.C.
Project: cooking and serving food – no previous experience required
In order to help serve the 12,000 men, women, and children living without a home in the DC area, Central Union Mission provides free meals at least three times each day, distributes free groceries, clothing, and furniture, operates an emergency shelter program, a retreat and recreation center with a camp for underprivileged children, and programs for isolated seniors, computer and job training, and access to transitional and low-cost housing.

Project leads will work with staff at charitable organizations to coordinate and confirm project details including the date, location, time, number of volunteers the project can accommodate, and work description.
