Ahmad Khan is a serial entrepreneur who started up several successful businesses and is currently involved in three IT tech start-ups. He is currently a Partner and Executive Vice President of Ascendeon Group, Inc, an IT services company that specializes in data warehousing, data-mining, and smart software development through its affiliations with academic institutes such as IIT in India and Japan and while providing BPO services out of its Indian subsidiary based in Kolkata. Ahmad graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor’s in Finance and jumped right into his passion, an entrepreneurial opportunity where he developed a struggling medical supplies company by initiating a mail order campaign and establishing over 1400 accounts in 10 States in less than a year. He previously worked in Dubai with Kodak, Echostar, and Samsung where he was responsible for developing business in the MENA region before finally heading back home to Houston. As a 30+ year Houston community member, he is an active member of the Greater Houston Partnership, serving on several committees including International Investment and Trade Advisory, Regional Economic Development Advisory, Education Advisory for Higher Education and Early Childhood, Energy Advisory, Healthcare Advisory, Transportation Advisory, and the Emerging Healthcare Advisory. He is a TIE Charter member and travels extensively with the Mayor of Houston on various trade delegations across the world to promote Houston as the “Energy Capital of the World” and as the number one destination for business in the US.
