Dr. Monira Hamid-Kundi
Dr. Monira Hamid-Kundi is a colorectal/general surgeon in private practice in Houston, TX. Dr. Kundi has been a volunteer leader in the Houston Chapter of American Pakistan Foundation (APF) since 2014. In her leadership role, Dr. Kundi works to advance APF’s mission. She is also an active member of national and international medical societies and is the current Chair of the International Medical Graduates Council at the Texas Medical Association, Delegate of the Harris County Medical Society, and Capitol Club member of TexPac. She continues to serve on many councils and committees at the TMA and HCMS. Along with her professional accomplishments, Dr. Kundi is a generous philanthropist and active member of the Houston community. She is actively involved in interfaith dialogue, outreach and refugee services with Interfaith Ministries of Greater Houston and Alliance for Compassion and Tolerance. She serves on the Board of Directors for Houston Shifa Services and was recently inducted in The Founders Circle of the Islamic Society of North America. She is an avid supporter of The Houston Museum of Fine Arts and serves as an emissary for her alma mater, The Aga Khan Foundation. She supports many non-profit organizations in Pakistan which focus on education and health, including The Ladies Global Fund, Development in Literacy, and Child Life Foundation.
