Muhammad Abu Baker
Abu joins APF as a George Mason Global Politics Fellow.  He is a senior at George Mason University where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in government and international politics and a minor in criminology, law, and society.  He is active in local politics and has worked closely with Virginia politicians.  In light of recent events that have sparked debates over the rights of minorities, coming from a Muslim-Pakistani background and living in the United States has ignited his passion to help protect and fight for the civil rights of all minorities.  Abu has made it his goal to be of service in the foreign affairs sector by working at the State Department to help to ease tensions between the United States and the Muslim world. He hopes to help to push diplomacy in a more progressive direction.
