In celebration of Women's History Month, the American Pakistan Foundation is hosting a series of conversations on the personal and professional experiences of women. Please join APF President Shamila N. Chaudhary for a candid discussion with Dr. Uzma Iqbal on all that goes into making educational and professional goals align with personal relationships and family life.

About the Speakers

Dr. Uzma Iqbal has been practicing Hematology/Oncology and Integrative Medicine for over 20 years. She is the President of Houston Center of HOPE sine 2007. She graduated from Fatima Jinnah Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan. She serves on various leadership councils in Harris County, has directed the Medical Oncology program, and has been President of Medical Staff. Dr. Iqbal is passionate about youth leadership, mentorship, and women's empowerment. She is a member of APF Board of Directors, and is married with two sons. 

Shamila N. Chaudhary is President of the American Pakistan Foundation and an international affairs analyst specializing in U.S. foreign policy with a focus on U.S.-Pakistan relations, Pakistan internal politics, and regional issues in South Asia. She is a Senior South Asia Fellow at the Washington D.C.-based New America think tank and a Fellow at the Foreign Policy Institute at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Her work is regularly cited and published in Foreign Policy, The Washington Post, the New York Times and she has frequently appeared on NPR, CNN, Fox News, and other media outlets.
