APF Get Out The Vote (GOTV) Program
Get Out the Vote 2025
The American Pakistan Foundation (APF) has led the Get Out the Vote (GOTV) initiative since 2016, mobilizing the Pakistani American community and the broader South Asian and Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities to participate in U.S. elections. Having previously focused on presidential election cycles, the 2025 GOTV program marks a transition to an annual initiative. This shift will establish year-round engagement, emphasizing state and local elections while maintaining momentum for presidential cycles. The program will leverage lessons from 2024, integrate data-driven strategies, and increase grassroots efforts to solidify Pakistani Americans as a recognized voting bloc.
Program Background: Since its inception, APF's GOTV initiative has played a critical role in educating, mobilizing, and empowering the Pakistani American electorate. The campaign has included voter education materials, social media outreach, community-led discussions, and direct engagement with elected officials and civic organizations.
2025 Objectives:
Expand Outreach to Local and State Elections – Shift from a four-year presidential focus to a year-round engagement model, educating the community about the impact of local and state elections.
Elevate Pakistani Americans as a Voting Bloc – Continue to produce research and media that highlight Pakistani American voting patterns, priorities, and representation.
Engage Community, Student, Business, and Public Leaders – Host discussions, town halls, and collaborative events featuring elected officials and grassroots organizers.
Highlight Pakistani American Civic Leaders – Showcase Pakistani Americans involved in parallel GOTV efforts to enhance representation and motivation within the community.
