Farah Habib
Farah Habib is a creative writer and professor of English at Bristol Community College in Fall River, Massachusetts. She is co-director of the America Pakistan Education Exchange, a reciprocal cultural exchange program with Kinnaird College for Women in Lahore. The program’s focus on women’s empowerment across cultures and generations has provided a platform for women to see themselves as global citizens, capable of making significant impacts within their communities and beyond.
Habib is a member of Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom, where she helped create space for women to express their views, learn from each other, and build bridges across divides. As a published author, she uses her essays and short stories to explore the complexities of identity and belonging, particularly for Pakistani women. Her writing serves as a powerful medium for cultural understanding, education, and empathy, shedding light on the nuanced experiences of immigrant life from the perspective of Pakistani women.
