Maya Samadani

We know that when we invest in women and girls, they can change their own future and uplift communities. That is one of the reasons Maya Samadani has chosen to work for a feminist organization, International Rescue Committee, a global non-profit working in more than 40 countries and 28 US cities to help people affected by humanitarian crises to survive, recover, and rebuild their lives. This experience has shown Maya the power of breaking down barriers for women and girls, and of ensuring gender equality is a cornerstone of all their programs.

Maya also serves as a Board member with Rise Alliance for Children, which uses the power of play to help children and their caregivers overcome trauma and develop the skills they need to thrive. Rise supports healing, education and empowerment of children in vulnerable communities.
