Nabeela Khatak
Nabeela Khatak is a dedicated advocate for women’s economic empowerment and entrepreneurship, recognized for developing impactful and transformative programs for Pakistani women. She served as OPEN DC’s first female chair and has been a board member for over a decade. Nabeela later became the inaugural Chief Marketing Officer of OPEN Global. She launched and chaired initiatives like the Women's Leadership Forum, enhancing community engagement and visibility for women entrepreneurs. A founding board member of the US-Pakistan Women’s Council, she initiated programs such as the US Summer Sisters Exchange Program, enabling talented, underprivileged Pakistani girls to attend pre-college programs in the US. She also engaged stakeholders in mentoring and funding the Sister2Sister program, which supports college students and early-stage entrepreneurs.
Through the State Department’s Propelling Women Entrepreneurs Program, Nabeela developed an acceleration initiative in collaboration with Goldman Sachs and the Thunderbird School of Management, providing mentorship to Pakistani women entrepreneurs. Nabeela is a graduate of Smith College and Harvard University, and is currently CEO of SocialMpresa, a digital marketing consultancy, and VP of Digital Marketing at Nolij Consulting.
