Join the American Pakistan Foundation and The Atlantic Council for a conversation with Dr. Dan Markey on his new book, China's Western Horizon: Beijing and the New Geopolitics of Eurasia. Dr. Markey will discuss how China's foreign policy initiatives are likely to play out in South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East; and with specific regard to China-Pakistan relations. About the Speakers
Daniel Markey is a senior research professor at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). He also serves as the academic director of the SAIS Global Policy Program. He teaches courses in international politics and policy.
Sahar Khan is an adjunct scholar in the Cato Institute’s Defense and Foreign Policy Department. Her research interests include militancy, counterterrorism policies, anti‐terrorism legal regimes, South Asia, Middle East, and U.S. national security.
Shamila N. Chaudhary is the President of the American Pakistan Foundation. She is an analyst and writer specializing in U.S. foreign policy in South Asia and served in senior policy roles at the White House and State Department.
