The Art of Papercutting with Tusif Ahmad

August 14 marks Pakistan's independence from British rule in 1947. In recognition of the occasion, APF invites you to join us for a special webinar celebrating Pakistani cultural heritage which is visible today all over the world. 

APF will host Tusif Ahmad, an Australia-based artist who specializes in the art of papercutting. Using single sheets of paper, he creates intricate designs featuring a variety of themes, including from Islamic stories. He will show us his method; and discuss his journey from Pakistan, where he learned from Sadequain, one of Pakistan's most respected artists.

Speakers

Tusif Ahmad received degree in Computer Science and for over two decades has worked in several fields from furniture manufacturing in Kuwait to jewelry design in Cyprus. He recently started his own information technology consulting firm, EshalSoft, and works as a software developer with companies around the world. He has been doing papercutting art since 2006.
