Saadia Khan
Saadia Khan is a Pakistani American immigrant, human rights activist & social entrepreneur. She is also the founder and host of an award-winning weekly podcast, Immigrantly, which celebrates the extraordinariness of the immigrant experience. In addition, Saadia is the co-producer and co-host of the Invisible Hate podcast, which focuses on hate crimes committed against minorities. She holds a Master’s in Human Rights from Columbia University. Previously, she has worked with UN Women and other UN entities at a small civil society organization (GNWP) focused on women’s rights.
Saadia is also a board member of Hearts and Homes for Refugees. This volunteer-driven nonprofit organization based in NY works with the U.S. Department of State & designated agencies to welcome refugees. On Immigrantly, Saadia leads a team of women of color who support the platform’s efforts to celebrate representation and inclusion in America. On her podcast, featured in places like CNN, The Guardian, and the Nieman StoryBoard, Saadia draws from her experiences as a rights activist and a first-generation immigrant and tackles the big questions on race, identity & the immigrant experience while challenging mainstream narratives.
